What Is a Triathlon?
A triathlon is a race with 3 sports and 5 sections you are timed on. First you swim, then you bike and then you run. You are timed separately on the length of your swim, how fast you get to your bike and on it, the bike ride, how fast you get to your run gear, and the speed of your run. So there are 5 times you are racing, as well as the overall completion time.
Swim 1.9km (1.2miles). Bike 90km (56miles). Run 21.2 km (13.1miles).

Ironman 70.3 races are the most prestigious Triathlon races in the world. Ironman 70.3 World Championship Racers have to qualify from other local 70.3 events they participate in by being the fastest in their age group in those races.

This event is radical for me to attend, as I am invited but did not qualify by age, so I will be competing with some of the most elite triathletes in the world, with only a couple years of experience; and as a para-athlete.
